About Lucent Advisory

Lucent Advisory was founded by Lucia Sahin, an international tax and transfer pricing specialist with more than twenty years of experience supporting multinational businesses on complex cross-border matters.

Lucia’s career spans senior advisory roles at Big Law and Big4, where she worked closely with multinational groups on a broad range of transfer pricing and international tax matters. Her experience includes advising on transfer pricing strategy and policy design, business model design and optimization, global expansion, documentation, bilateral and unilateral APAs, mutual agreement procedures, and dispute resolution. This background has shaped her ability to bridge deep technical expertise with practical execution, understanding both the precision required by regulation and the realities faced by businesses.

She has worked internationally, including in New York, and brings a genuinely global perspective to her work grounded in OECD-aligned transfer pricing principles, combined with deep local experience in the Netherlands and across Europe. She has extensive experience advising multinational groups from Latin America, the United States and Japan, supporting them in navigating complex cross-border transfer pricing matters. Lucia comes from an international and entrepreneurial background herself and spent time during her studies in Madrid and Paris. These experiences have given her a strong sensitivity to cultural context and differing ways of doing business which informs her ability to navigate cross-border decision-making thoughtfully and effectively.

Lucia is a Dutch-qualified tax advisor holding a double academic background in financial economics and tax law, which underpins her ability to connect economic substance with legal and regulatory frameworks. This combination supports her ability to approach transfer pricing questions holistically and to translate them into advice that is clear, well-reasoned, and closely aligned with how businesses actually operate, with particular depth of experience in the Netherlands and across Europe.

In addition to her advisory work, Lucia guest lectures on transfer pricing topics at universities, sharing practical insights drawn from real-world experience with students and young professionals. She values the exchange between academic thinking and practice and sees teaching as an important way to contribute to the development of the next generation of tax and transfer pricing advisors. Lucia is an active member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), where she co-founded the Dutch branch of the Women of IFA Network (WIN), and is a member of the Dutch Order of Tax Advisors (NOB), reflecting her ongoing engagement with the professional community and her commitment to continuous learning and high professional standards.

Alongside her advisory work, Lucia is a professional coach, supporting individuals on personal leadership and effectiveness. This work reflects her interest in how people think, decide, and lead in complex environments, and complements her advisory practice by strengthening her ability to guide clients through both technical and strategic challenges.

At the heart of Lucia’s approach is a belief in curiosity and attentive listening. She places great value on understanding what drives her clients and colleagues, what matters to them, and how they define success. Her coaching background further informs this perspective, bringing an additional layer of reflection, structure, and clarity to her work with clients.

Lucia founded Lucent Advisory with the intention of creating a focused, high-quality advisory practice that allows her to dedicate time and attention where it matters most: supporting clients with thoughtful, strategic transfer pricing advice. Lucent is deliberately structured around small, senior-led teams and efficient ways of working, enabling depth of analysis, clear communication, and close involvement. Operating within a streamlined environment allows Lucia to combine technical expertise with pragmatism and responsiveness — ensuring that advice remains closely connected to clients’ business realities and long-term objectives.

Lucent Advisory embodies Lucia’s conviction that clarity is the foundation of confident business decisions. Her work is client-first, pragmatic, and partnership-driven — focused on sustainable outcomes, trust, and long-term relationships. She works closely with clients and advisors in navigating complex questions with clarity, structure, and perspective.
